Take the next step in traditional japanese karate
Meet the Sensei – traditional karate and self-defense instructor
Continuous learning is crucial for karateka, as it not only improves technical ability through the perfection of basic techniques (kihon) and fighting forms (kata), but also promotes physical and mental development.
Victory or defeat is unimportant, because sometimes you win, sometimes you lose,
but learning is always a win.
Karate differs in its nature and style. I liked to think outside the box, but traditional karate captivated me from the moment I discovered it. It is underpinned by a philosophy. The same cannot be said of competitive karate. That is all about “higher,” “faster,” and “further.”
In traditional karate, it is a lifelong task, a never-ending learning process. The goal remains to help every person reach their maximum potential – not only as an athlete in traditional karate, but as a human being. Competition is part of this journey, but only as a tool for the overarching goal of developing one’s own “self.”
In addition to Germany, I have taught in the USA, Albania, Romania, Switzerland, Russia, Belarus, Greece, Ethiopia, Czechia, and Poland, and have worked in Hungary, Israel, Austria, Scotland, and many other countries.
I see karate as an ART, and those who practice traditional karate every day as martial artists.
I see it as my mission to pass on the values that my teachers have imparted to me. This transmission is not only about preserving the culture and philosophy of budo; for me personally, it is a matter close to my heart. Respect, honor, and a deep understanding of human nature also play an important role in this. These values must not be lost; they represent, so to speak, the spiritual core of our martial art.
Self defense courses
Lern how to act confidently in self-defense situations
Time and again, interested parties ask for guidance on how to act confidently in self-defense situations. They simply want to feel more secure so that they can react quickly and correctly to certain conditions and circumstances. Michael Bock, who is also well versed in Krav Maga and other self-defense arts, also teaches how to “protect,” “escort,” and transport perpetrators.
Please write to me if you are interested, whether it is for your company employees, your association, or for yourself. here
