Report from the MSAC World Championships in Wrocław, November 14–16, 2025

MSAC – Military Sports All-Round Competitions, World Championships in Wrocław, Poland – November 14–16, 2025

From November 14 to 16, 2025, Wrocław hosted a world championship of a different kind. Why? It was the MSAC (Military Sports All-Round Competitions) World Championships. After all, 400 athletes from 18 nations met in Wrocław on behalf of Kharkiv (Ukraine). That’s quite impressive. As the war in Ukraine is still ongoing, this championship was held in Wrocław again. I think this is the third year in a row. It’s only a 3-4 hour drive for us, so it’s quite feasible.

I did not intend to compete as a German and therefore not for DTSKF, as I did not have the DTSKF mandate. I also have no time for German war rhetoric, so I competed for the Association for International Friendship and/or for the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta. Sir Georg Popper, as Prime Minister, found the idea very flattering, and Winni (Winfried Raithel) from the KMFAP also wanted to jump on the bandwagon and travel there with some athletes from Hamburg and Frankfurt am Main. Athletes from the DTSKF from the SGF and VTKB clubs competed under their home clubs. I myself see it as a small test to see if I can be successful under pressure.

President Volodymyr Levin asked me to support his championship. Since he supported us at the 2025 championship in Berlin, I gave him my word. The German team was mixed.

I was able to take first place in kata (forms) and in a practical application of self-defense. This also shows that self-defense must work under tension and pressure. The result reassured me.
